Word game for 2 to 8 players

Change one letter. Make a new word. Don't freeze.

Start from a word like HELL. Each player swaps exactly one letter to make a real word: HELL, BELL, BALL, BALD. Run out of time or give up and you're out. Last player standing wins.

Who checks the words

How a turn works

Pass the device to the player whose name is shown. They tap Start my turn and the clock begins.
Everyone plays on their own phone. When it's your turn, your phone beeps and your clock starts.
Tap the letter you want to change, then pick its new letter. Tap Play word.
No repeats. A word already in the chain can't be played again.
You get one try. The clock pauses while the dictionary checks your word and shows everyone what it means. Not a real word, or already played? You're out.
Stuck? Tap Give up. Out of time? You're out too. The next player keeps going from the same word.
In a game of 4, players drop out one by one until a single winner is left.
